After many years of designing, I decided to start my own consulting firm. My maiden project was a showroom in Hong Kong, for Hsin Hung (one of the largest Chinese manufacturing agents). It was a dream appointment. I lived in Hong Kong for six month’s, working on this project. I traveled to China to meet with furniture makers and artists. I designed every facet of the showroom from the lights to the furniture, to the garments displayed. It was a project that changed the way I think and work. It was there I fell in love with interior design.
My concept was “Tribeca meets Japan”. I traveled to Tokyo to buy vintage indigo textiles to use in the room, and I worked with an Architect to facilitate the production of my designs. Along the way, Hong Kong became my second home. I’ve been there 35 times.
These boards begin with concept photos for the showroom, as well as images for the people/designers who will visit and work here. It continues with more concept images and original finishes I used for inspiration. It ends with photos of the completed showroom.
